Jellybean just wanted to play. His only friend-the neighbor dog-had an important job guarding his sheep. So Jellybean braved going beyond his own pasture in search of a new friend. He met a white bird, a caterpillar, and a dragonfly, but none of them could play. Still Jellybean cantered with joy-until he realized he was lost. As the sun set, Jellybean grew afraid. When he needed a friend the most, he was all by himself.
